Fraction Law is founded by Michael Lees, a Queen's University JD/MBA with 15 years of experience practicing corporate and commercial law for major firms on Bay St. and in Calgary, including several years in-house at various medium and large corporations across North America.
During his career, he became upset with the way legal services are offered by lawyers. "There's a lot of waste, rigidity and uncertainty in the traditional law firm model. It lacks a customer focus...it's outdated. I'm listening to what clients want - it's time to deliver."
In 2018, Michael successfully climbed Mt. Everest with a team that included 70-year old legless amputee, Xia Boyu. During this time he gained some unique insights:
